Junking Junk Food In Jersey

New Jersey's state assembly has passed a bill curbing students' access to junk food in that state's public school system.

Many teachers would likely agree that the law is a good idea, as the last thing that most students need is an overdose infusion of sugar during the instructional day.

Now if only our legislative masters would do something that would be actually be helpful for those of us who serve in the classroom---- such as a law mandating that parents attend conferences that have been called by teachers in order to discuss a child's academic needs.
