A Recipe For "Instant Controversy"

Here's a sure-fire recipe for igniting an instant controversy in a great many school districts around the country:
  1. Respond to two parent complaints by removing a controversial novel from the district's school libraries.
  2. Be sure that the censored book has something to do with gay relationships.

Place the ingredients in a major newspaper. Mix them well and allow to simmer. Add student protests to taste and a pinch of even greater media exposure through the wire services.

Voila! Instant Controversy!

Guaranteed results every time.
