Two Large Scoops Of Patriotism And A Safety Dance

Yuma, Tucson, Las Cruces, El Paso, Odessa, Dallas, Shreveport, Jackson, Birmingham, Atlanta, and finally... Tamassee, South Carolina. We arrived at our home in the deep woods at 3:45 AM this morning. The drive took 36 hours and 15 minutes. Not a record, but not bad, either.

The only surprise was that young woman in the red, white, and blue bikini who was leaning over the handrail of an overpass outside of Jackson, Mississippi. Just when I thought that she was about to throw something at the passing traffic.... she removed her star-spangled top and treated everyone in the vicinity to a view of her... generous assets as we passed directly beneath. Well, It's a big country, and they say that you'll see everything if you drive far enough....

The Safety Dance is what one does in a damp, very dark, (and quite possibly probably snake inhabited) cellar when one is tip-toeing around while trying to figure out which switch to throw in order to turn on the lights. It's amazing how threatening a clump of leaves or a few pieces of rope can look by matchlight...
