What Were They Thinking?

Our good friend Tony Iovino over at A Red Mind In A Blue State is reporting that an apparently crooked and incompetent school board seems to think that cell phones and limousines are needed to oversee a Long Island school district.

The Hempsted district itself has, "Terrible test scores, a terrible drop-out rate, and high violence in their poorly maintained schools."

And yet the district spends $15,000 per student, and $240,000 (plus perks) annual salary for the Superintendent.
